[Cleveland, O. Charles Whittlesey? 1882]. First edition. 8vo, unbound, 10 pages. Stitching perished; somewhat dust-soiled and a little worn; a very good copy. Item #10879
A fine example of a curious ephemeral learned publication from the archeologist and geologist Whittlesey, an author noted by Coyle as "a confirmed pamphleteer--disputatious, and, on the matter of archaeological attributions, inclined to be pontifical." Whittlesey dispute here concerns claims regarding the relationship between the great pyramids of Egypt and the Biblical cubit. Cf. Coyle, Ohio Authors, page 684.
