A detailed attack on the Episcopal clergyman William Croswell, who had been reproved by Massachusetts bishop Manton Eastburn for introducing Romish elements into worship at Church of the Advent. With much on the strange derangements of the communion table, the introduction of candlesticks, the parallels between Croswell and Newman, dark hints of superstition, etc.
