The late Andover professor and Yale graduate Emerson (1787-1863) spent his last years in Rockford, Ill.; his funeral sermon was preached by his son-in-law, a professor at the Chicago Theological seminary. Also includes a brief statement delivered by one Rev. Blaisdell (likely James Joshua Blaisdell) at Emerson's grave in Beloit, Wisconsin. A nice Chicago ante-fire imprint. Ante-Fire Imprints 716.
