Fredonia, N.Y. W. B. Archibald, Author and Publisher, 1892. Likely a reissue of the first edition; the publication copyright date is a pasted-on cancel slip. Large 8vo, original black pebbled half cloth, blue cloth sides, printed paper label, 228 pages. Mounted leaf of index key on the title page. A bit shaken and worn; a very good copy. Item #13440

A handy techincal book for figuring how much stone it will take to construct the sarcophagus of your dreams. (In addition to his Fredonia monument-carving and publishing responsibilities, Archibald was responsible for carving the monument to the 64th New York Infantry at Gettsyburg.) OCLC notes one location of a copy with an 1891 copyright date (at the Winterthur Museum); the cancel slip pasted onto the title would suggest this was a reissue of those first edition sheets.
