Boston: Press of T. R. Marvin, 1849. First edition. 2 vols in 1, 8vo, removed pamphlet (lacks wrappers), 13, [1], [2], 42 pages. Light damp-stain to the lower edge throughout; last leaf loose; some light soiling; in good, sound condition. Item #13809

With a printed leaf bound between the two pamphlets noting "This is a copy of the Document referred to and annexed, by a witness, on the part of the Defendants, to the Deposition of Thomas B. Gould, and marked D, page 210." An unhappy by-product of the Wilburite-Gurneyite separation of 1845 was the suit of Earle et al. vs Wood et al. over possession of the property of the Fall River Monthly Meeting, a suit that evidently wound on some five years in Massachusetts courts. These publications seem to take the Conservative part.
