[N. p. n. p., ca. 1910?]. Approx. 3.5 x 5.5 inches, postally unused, divided back, no stamp box. Some dust-soiling, coners just a bit tender and some faint light creasing; old marginal ink blot; in very good condition. Item #15852
An evocative image of the trio atop their various cycles--a man in evening dress on a unicycle, an ingenue upon a bicycle that would do credit to any contemporary fixie-hipster, and a male clown mounted upon a unicycle crafted from a bicycle frame (his ride reminiscent of the "tall bike" trend). Plus ça change, etc. Of the Lane and Dale Trio, a scant reference in the Scottish Theatre Atchive of the University of Glasgow Special Collections is about all the Internet seems willing to yield.
