Dated in type at the head of the text August, 1885, this a promotional pamphlet for the rectal clinic of A. M. Wortman of Eutaw Street in Baltimore (with branch offices in St. Louis, Mo.), advertising relief for "the most distressing complaints known in the whole catalogue of rectal diseases." With an extensive annotated list of references (each name affixed with a symbol to denote the patient's complaint) with such luminaries as former Postmaster General Hon. A. J. Creswell and Oregon Senator Lafayette Grover having found relief at the hands of Wortman. OCLC notes a single copy (at Rochester).
