Pittsburgh: Printed for the Publishers by Eichbaum & Johnston, 1821. First edition. 12mo, stitched into original blue wrappers, untrimmed, 43, pages. Unopened. Some staining to the wrappers; cheap paper browned throughout, but a good copy of a fresh, untrimmed Pittsburgh pamphlet. Item #17805
A nice Pittsburgh imprint of this discourse from the Scottish missionary Campbell; the original source of the text unclear, perhaps a serial publication since no evident separately-published British edition is located (under this title at least) in the expected catalogs and no evidence has come to the hand of this cataloger that Campbell came to Pittsburgh to preach. American Imprints 4905.
