First edition. 4to, somewhat later (perhaps later 18th century) vellum spine lettered in autograph ink, sprinkled drab boards, [12], 306, [82] pages. Engraved title page, including a view of a scholar working at a table amid a library of clasped bindings with their fore-edges shelved facing outward. Poor paper stock somewhat browned throughout; boards somewhat rubbed, spine a bit darkened; a very good copy. Item #17876
A relatively early work from the German librarian, historian and educator Hanke (1633-1709), published shortly before he took over the running of the Rehdiger Library at Breslau.
