Home battery systems, including the “20th Century Battery,” from the agency best known for its electric belts. The batteries are said to cure paralysis, rheumatism, neuralgia, etc., the whole illustrated with cuts of the batteries and wrapper illustrations of handsome women administering treatments to themselves. Atwater S-445 (suggesting publication date of [189-], though contemporary ads would suggest a ca. 1901 publicity push). OCLC (6/2023) notes only the Atwater copy at Rochester.
