“Hopeful but has short fits of melancholy. Generally conscientious – truthful & honest just according to the degree of influence of the circumstances with which he has been surrounded, having no natural inclination either to lying or dishonesty, unless it is to carry out some sportive scheme – act out a joke.” An uncommon ephemeral example of a full broadside chart plus an autograph analysis from a phrenologist about whom little has yet been easily dredged up; a search of OCLC calls up no obvious candidates. The subject scores fairly well on organs of benevolence and self-esteem; his intellectual faculties run a little toward “rather small.” Typography and spelling suggest an American production.
