(Kansas City, Mo. H. L. Giles, M.D.), [ca. 1920-1930]. Stated fifth edition. Original printed wrappers, 4.5 x 3 inches, 32 pages. Illus. Cheap paper toned and a trifle foxed and worn; binding staples somewhat rusty; in very good condition. Item #19033
A typical advertising booklet for a physician with a practice treating male diseases and a handy street guide to Kansas City, from this established popular surgeon who seems to have advertised widely in Kansas City from 1920 onward. The usual curses of varicocele, seminal weakness, syphilis, and the wages of youthful folly and masturbation are promised relief via the latest methods—including both the expected 606, as well as animal therapy (suggesting that perhaps monkey glands had come to Kansas City). OCLC notes a single copy of a 1922 edition, at Rochester.
