A handsome book, in verse and prose, and the earliest located printing of the title. (Daniels appears to have republished it through the 1840s.) With an ad for Geo. P. Daniels, Bookseller, No. 5, Market-street, Providence, R. I. on the rear wrapper: “Very great care has been taken, both in the original and selected matter, that not a word should be introduced into them, which the most judicious parent would object to place in the hands of his children.” OCLC (5/19) notes four locations of this edition.
