Mattoon [Illinois]: T. E. Woods, [ca. 1871]. First edition. Unbound pamphlet (stitching evidently renewed), 7.63 x 5.25 inches, pages. Full page woodcut of an unnamed rose variety. Some slight soiling, browning, and light wear; in very good condition. Item #19479
OCLC notes two 1871 examples of Montgomery price lists in the Gilbert Seed Catalog Collection at the National Agricultural Library but not this one. Comparison to digitized copies suggest this undated version of Montgomery’s price list had lower production values—perhaps a result of a post-1873 economic downturn? Or the simple charms of a small-town downstate printer?
