An early edition of Hohman’s well-known folk magic and remedy book, first published in Reading in 1820 and with scattered Pennsylvania editions following throughout the 1820s and 1830s, some under slightly variant titles and certainly more than two previous editions. Evidently reset or with revisions made to the standing type of the 1840 Harrisburg edition. Not found in the AAS catalog. Atwater 1669 (this edition).
