[N. p., ca. 1890-1900]. Each photo on a mount measuring 5.5 x 4 inches. Some general light soiling and wear; in very good condition overall, quite clean and crisp. Item #20477
The prices for pieces in various “suits” of furniture are given: wash stands (from $4 to $4.50, up to $6 “fine”), bedsteads, frames, even the occasional whatnot shelf in ash ($8 for a plain side whatnot, $2.75 for a plain corner whatnot), etc., with additional costs for drop handles versus straight pulls, various glass costs, plus cash discounts, net payment in 60 days, etc. The range of styles (what to this unpracticed eye includes Renaissance Revival and Eastlake, plus some simpler chairs) suggests a possible early manufacturer of national scope, like Berkey & Gay or Thomas Brooks. Old ink stain on the verso of one photo, offset at an early date to one corner of another print.
