With an eight-line poem entitled "Snowfall" inscribed in ink on the front free endpaper and signed by Anderson. 13 stories by this Minnesota author, generally set in that state, and aimed perhaps at young readers. Norwegian dialect runs through much of the dialogue: "It may be dot I go to your skole dis vinter. Yoost t'ink!--me so big, and connote read the Engelsk!" Smith, American Fiction 1901-1925, A-215.
