On the myriad health benefits of the home Turkish bath (such as the cabinet models sold by Robinson), illlustrated in part with extracts from Bulwer Lytton's Pompeii, and said to cure everything from rheumatism to kidney complaints to the evils of childhood vaccination: "A certain Physician of New York told the writer that he did not believe in having his children vaccinated, but in order to keep them in public schools it was necessary for them to be vaccinated, and get the Physician's certificate, but in each case he would take the boy or girl as soon as they returned from the operation, and give them a powerful sweat bath, and the vaccination had never taken where it was followed by this treatment. This shows you what a powerful blood purifier the sweat bath is." Also advertises Robinson's "Electric Light Baths" (a mirrored cabinet in which one might be shut to permit "a plunge into a flood of tonic light waves any time you care to turn on a switch").
