The sequel to The Refuge, a moderately dramatized story on the moral and religious underpinnings to a juvenile education (Biblical precepts, abstain from grog and tobacco, etc.). The addresses for the Philadelphia, Boston and New York branches of the ASSU suggest this printing (per the AAS children’s book trade directory) dates from 1860.
