Something of a kissing cousin to the community cook book is the community exhibition, what today would be called a pop-up cabinet of curiosities—here some 2000 items ranging from Indian relics, to art work, to bric-a-brac (which category included a mummy), and scientific curiosities such as a telephone. As usual with such exhibitions, each contributor is named with their artifact, which come from as far afield as Monmouth, Illinois. Includes attractive ads for a number of local businesses. Contemporary owner’s ink inscription at the head of the front wrapper. Not found on OCLC.
Price: $250.00
