A moderately early phrenological work, published prior to the formation of Fowler & Wells, these two pamphlets notable for including readings given by O. S. Fowler himself, with fairly ample marginal annotation and measurements given in blue autograph ink. The pamphlet went through a series of gaudy contemporary edition statements into at least the two-hundreds. Front wrapper of each reading labeled at the head in Fowler’s head, “Mrs. B.” and “J. A. Blake.”.
