Moderately substantial browning or offset to two adjoining leaves. Boards a bit bumped; some rubbing, with a few small flakes from the spine; about a half of the front blank torn away and excised; still, a very good copy. Item #19898

An early and popular work on early childhood education, first published in London in 1819, with an edition appearing in New York from the press of Collins in 1820 (appropriate enough, given the Quaker roots of the title); a number of editions appeared from scattered American presses through the first half of the century.
