Bug House Poetry: The Complete Works of Richard Griffin (Enlarged and Revised).
[New York:]: (Richard Griffin, 1922). Third edition, preceded by editions of 1917 and 1919. 8vo, original red cloth, gilt lettering, 401 pages. Frontis portrait, eight inserted plates. A bit spotted and sunned; a very good copy. Item #20809
To see Griffin’s work in such bulk is to realize that, conscious satirist or no, he was possessed of a disturbing imagination. In any event, few poets range over such topics as yaks, street gangs, lepers and bastinados with such bravado as Griffin.
