Frontispiece, engraved by B. Tanner after Stothard. Flaw to the lower corner of one leaf, with loss of a few letters. Boards somewhat rubbed, frontispiece browned as usual; a very good copy. A pleasant example of a Johnson and Warner juvenile production and a relatively early work from the press of Lydia Bailey (her colophon is on the verso of the title page).

The first title is from Hannah More (with her dedication dated Bristol, May 10, 1773) and the second from Stéphanie Félicité, comtesse de Genlis.
