Laundry Lampoons: 19 leaves (9.63 x 8 inches) laid into a wrap-around portfolio titled “Laundry Lampoons.” Companion: Cloth spine, decorated boards (9.75 x 8 inches), 96 pages. Frontispiece and mounted illustrations. Printed note on the decorated paper laid in. Lampoons and Companion housed together in the publisher’s slipcase. Fine condition. Item #21055

One of 29 copies of this fine press and literary facsimile tour de force, reproducing and working from the typescript and scrapbook of the Launderers, a group of bohemian London writers and artists active in the 1920s and early 1930s. Printed by Tim Hawley from type cast by Ed Rayher, the stitching and binding and boxes executed by the Campbell-Logan Bindery. OCLC (6/2025) notes 10 locations.
