Specimen leaves stitched into the publisher’s decorated portfolio wrappers (9.13 x 6.5 inches), 45 specimen leaves on white coated stock, two decorative leaves printed on matte black stock. Small portion of the spine of the fragile wrappers with a closed tear near the head of the spine; some soiling to the wrappers; in very good condition. Item #21201
An attractive specimen book from the printing arm of the art photographers and publishing house, with a number of Jugendstil or Art Nouveau elements (especially in the ornaments), seemingly issued as the firm transitioned from Ad. Braun & Cie. to Braun & Cie., which occurred sometime around 1910. Not found on OCLC.
