The dated advertising display samples in this specimen use 1927, suggesting the ca. 1926 publication date. Beyond a number of examples of rather classic literary title pages, the specimen includes some interesting uses of this old style face from Schneidler with occasional feints toward new typography applications in layout—a specimen title page for a modern architecture book, an advertisement for an architect, an ersatz Parker Pen ad, etc. Early pencil attribution to Prof. Schneidler on the front wrapper.
